WHAT IS QUINTUS ELEMENTUM
From out of the shadows comes Quintus Elementum. A new project from Blake Carpenter. Darkwave from the depths of the earth and the far reaches of the universe. Blake will be digging deep into the collective essence of everything to bring you some tantalizing and moving musical art. Everyone is familiar with the 4 main elements, Earth, Air, Water and Fire but there is a another. The Fifth Element, Ether, Essence, Spirit. It is a collective of everything, you, me, them, it. One consciousness. We are Quintus Elementum!
Originally from Rhode Island, a well rounded singer/songwriter/musician with a multitude of influences ranging from classical to metal and spanning all genres in between. His favorite styles of music are those that showcase drive and talent. Writing in styles from folk to classic prog, hard rock/heavy metal to post punk and new wave, Blake will take you on a journey beyond imagination.
Blake has been making music of some kind for nearly half a century. From folk to metal with a few random bits of experimental stuff thrown in for good measure Blake’s styles have varied greatly. With a love for almost all styles of music he has used that love to create and in doing so never was able to set a cohesive path for himself.
That being said, he is still having that same struggle these many years later. He has a project called Max Nova which is a synthwave concept project about a being from the end of all universes and the future who has come back to save the end of all things. The Max Nova project introduced him to the synthwave community and he began releasing music under his name as well as Max Nova, A more retrowave style Blake Carpenter is receiving great responses from within the community but Blake has darker desires.
Expanding on synthesized music Blake is adding yet another project to his already very busy schedule. Quintus Elementum is to be a ambient, new age project where he can be more open about his beliefs and ideas. The music will be mostly instrumental featuring synths, winds, strings and effects with the occational spoken word to bring the listener closer to the elements, earth, air, water, fire and spirit.
